Welcome to Paws 'N' Play Doggy Daycare
Thank you for your interest in Paws ‘N’ Play, a full-service daycare, boarding, training, & grooming facility. We provide a complete guilt free day of fun for your dog while you are away. At Paws ‘N’ Play, your dog will not only experience off leash supervised hours of play with their canine friends, but also be able to stimulate their mind and enrich their spirit through socialization. A happy dog is a healthy dog!
Our mission is to provide your dog with a safe, fun and nurturing environment while you are away. With off-leash play as our main focus, your dog will be able to experience a healthy play environment that will not only increase their social skills but also enrich their spirit and stimulate their mind. Becoming part of the Paws ‘N’ Play family means your dog will go home a happy well exercised dog that will look forward to its next daycare visit.
Paws ‘N’ Play daycare is run and operated by Steven and Lora Raposo, along with a great staff. What inspired us to begin this daycare is our dog Chaos. He has the best time meeting and playing with new dogs. No treat in the world would compare with having another dog over for a visit or a sleepover. We then decided that doing this full time would be our new avocation because each week we can endeavor to find several hours of fun for Chaos and his friends. We first started off by dog sitting all types of dogs out of our small home in New Bedford. We then decided to take the next step and start Paws ‘N’ Play Doggy Daycare, LLC in November 2013. Although our pup Chaos is now entering his senior years and can no longer romp for a full day, he still enjoys hours of playtime with his buddies.
Our experience and training comes from several different places. First, head caretaker and owner Lora Raposo is NAPPS (National Association of Professional Pet Sitting) certified. Steven and Lora also received a certification on canine behavior by the industries best out in Oregon. All staff are also certified by PetTech in pet CPR and First Aid and have completed Knowing Dogs 101 training. Finally, Steven and Lora are proud members of The New Bedford Coalition for Animals.
